About the Role
This is a Third-party contractor role.
The Sales Director – Formula 1 Portugal Grand Prix is responsible for leading all commercial sales activities for Quint's official hospitality program at the Formula 1 Portugal Grand Prix.This role will drive revenue growth through the acquisition of new corporate clients, management of strategic accounts, travel partners, agencies, and premium consumer sales while maximizing the commercial success of the Portugal Grand Prix hospitality portfolio.
Working closely with the Promoter Relations, Product Development, Marketing, Operations and Customer Experience teams, the Sales Director will develop and execute market-specific sales strategies that position Quint as the leading provider of premium Formula 1 hospitality experiences in Portugal and key international markets.
This individual will be accountable for achieving ambitious sales targets while delivering an exceptional customer journey from initial enquiry through event delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute the annual commercial sales strategy for the Formula 1 Portugal Grand Prix.
- Own and deliver annual revenue targets across all Portugal GP hospitality products.
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline across corporate, agency, affiliate and direct consumer channels.
- Identify new business opportunities within Portugal, Europe and key international markets.
- Maximize sales across all official hospitality inventory while optimizing product mix and profitability.
- Develop market-specific initiatives to drive early sales and maximize sell-through.

Business Development
- Proactively identify and acquire new corporate clients and strategic partners.
- Build relationships with C-suite executives, procurement teams, travel buyers and event decision makers.
- Expand relationships with travel agencies, luxury travel advisors and incentive houses.
- Attend networking events, Formula 1 races and industry conferences to generate new business opportunities.
- Develop strategic account plans to increase repeat business and customer lifetime value.

Account Management
- Act as the primary commercial contact for assigned key accounts.
- Deliver consultative sales presentations tailored to client objectives.
- Recommend hospitality solutions that maximize client experience and commercial value.
- Maintain strong relationships throughout the entire customer lifecycle.
- Ensure exceptional service before, during and after the event to encourage repeat purchases.

Formula 1 Hospitality Sales
- Sell Quint's complete portfolio of Formula 1 Portugal Grand Prix hospitality experiences.
- Become a subject matter expert on all hospitality products, circuit offerings, ticket inventory and premium experiences.
- Advise clients on hospitality packages, grandstands, accommodation, transportation and VIP experiences.
- Work closely with Product Development to provide customer feedback and improve future offerings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Formula 1 schedules, hospitality products and industry trends.

Commercial Collaboration
- Work closely with the Promoter Relations team to support the overall commercial objectives of the Portugal Grand Prix partnership.
- Collaborate with Marketing to execute sales campaigns, lead generation initiatives and promotional activities.
- Partner with Operations and Customer Experience teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Share customer insights, market intelligence and competitive analysis with senior leadership.

Forecasting & Reporting
- Maintain accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management within CRM.
- Prepare weekly sales reports and commercial updates.
- Monitor sales performance against budget and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Track market trends, competitor activity and customer buying behaviour.
- Ensure all commercial documentation complies with company policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience within sports, hospitality, luxury travel or premium events.
- Experience selling high-value hospitality, sponsorship or corporate entertainment packages.
- Proven ability to consistently exceed revenue targets.
- Strong network within Portugal and European corporate markets is highly desirable.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation and consultative selling skills.
- Experience managing strategic corporate accounts.
- Strong commercial acumen with analytical and forecasting capabilities.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English is required.
Working Environment
- Hybrid working model based in Portugal.
- Standard 40-hour working week with flexibility during peak sales periods and race operations.
- Domestic and international travel required, including attendance at Formula 1 events, client meetings and industry conferences.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends during race week and key commercial events.
