Summary:
This role is pivotal in leading corrective actions for quality events and enhancing quality improvement projects. As an ambassador for Built in Quality, the role involves collaboration across disciplines and managing customer relationships in partnership with Manufacturing Engineering teams. The work environment includes both factory floor and office settings.
Responsibilities
- Lead timely emergency, interim, and permanent corrective actions for quality events.
- Serve as an ambassador, coach, and sub-workstream lead for Built in Quality.
- Manage quality improvement projects using Office 365 tools.
- Support internal continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage internal and external customer relationships.
- Utilize tools and techniques such as 6 Sigma and 8D for problem-solving.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate degree with 10 years of experience, or Master's degree with 3 years of experience.
Skills
- Good working knowledge of quality standards and manufacturing operations.
- Experience with 8D or similar structured problem-solving techniques in a manufacturing environment.
- Professional approach with effective communication skills.
- Strong verbal, influencing, and numerical skills to lead teams through problem-solving.
- Ability to motivate, influence, and drive compliance and continuous improvement.
- Good working knowledge of engineering, design, manufacturing, and maintenance processes.
- Proficiency in Office 365 applications with a focus on analysis.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Pay Transparency:The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $42.00 - $43.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
