Pay Rate:$25–$36/hour; Based on experience
Location: Johnstown, NY / onsite

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience: Must have previousQuality Control Inspector experience in asheet metal fabrication and machining environment
Skills: Must be able toread blueprints and useprecision measuring instruments

Our growing client is seeking a detail-orientedQuality Control Inspector to help ensure fabricated metal parts and machined components meet the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced inspector who enjoys working in a manufacturing environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work.

Responsibilities of theQuality Control Inspector will include:

• Performincoming, in-process, and final inspections of raw materials, fabricated parts, and machined components
• Useprecision measuring tools, includingcalipers, micrometers, and height gauges, to verify dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints to confirm product specifications
• Identify, tag, and quarantinenon-conforming materials and parts to prevent production or shipment of defective products
• Prepare and maintain accurateinspection reports,Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), andCertificates of Conformance (COCs)
• Maintain thorough inspection documentation and support quality standards throughout the manufacturing process

Qualifications for the role ofQuality Control Inspector:

Required:

• Previous experience as aQuality Control Inspector in asheet metal fabrication and machining environment
• Ability toread and interpret blueprints
• Proficiency usingprecision measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects such as cracks, pits, and weld imperfections
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

• Experience infabrication and machining
