Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer with strong expertise in API design and development to build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services. The ideal candidate will have experience developing RESTful APIs, integrating with cloud platforms, and collaborating closely with front-end and DevOps teams to deliver modern, data-driven applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, or Django REST Framework).
Collaborate with front-end developers, architects, and data teams to design scalable backend solutions.
Integrate APIs with third-party systems and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Optimize API performance, scalability, and security.
Implement authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT, etc.).
Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code following best practices.
Develop automated unit and integration tests to ensure API reliability.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and Agile sprint planning.
Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
Required Skills & Qualifications
6+ years of professional experience in backend development using Python.
Proven experience building and deploying RESTful APIs and microservices.
Hands-on with Flask, FastAPI, or Django REST Framework (DRF).
Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.).
Experience with API testing tools (Postman, PyTest, Swagger/OpenAPI).
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong understanding of cloud services (AWS Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, etc.).
Experience with Git, Agile methodologies, and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence).
Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with GraphQL or gRPC APIs.
Exposure to message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
Knowledge of asynchronous programming (AsyncIO, Celery).
Familiarity with container orchestration and monitoring tools.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
