Pay:$48,000–$50,000 per year
Location:Near New Lebanon, NY
Schedule:Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
About the Role
Our manufacturing client is looking for aPurchasing Agent to join their team and play a key role in keeping production running smoothly. In this role, you'll be the connective tissue between the shop floor, engineering, and the supplier network — making sure the right materials and components arrive at the right time, in the right quantities, to keep operations moving without interruption.Duties
- Enter and receive purchase orders for goods and services
- Follow up with suppliers on delivery dates and issues
- Report delivery information to management
- Maintain, assess, and update key purchasing data, such as lead time, order minimums and multiples, and supermarket/kanban sizing
- Provide sourcing support for engineering and management
- Assist with other administrative duties related to inventory, shipping, production, and similar areas as needed
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher preferred
- Purchasing experience
- Background in manufacturing or distribution
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly in purchasing
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to be supplier-facing via phone, email, or in person
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to treat others respectfully
- Strong work ethic and excellent attendance
