This internship provides hands-on experience validating Blue Planet solutions through software quality engineering, test automation, and AI-assisted testing practices. The role offers opportunities to collaborate across engineering teams and contribute to solutions with customer impact.

How you will make an impact:

• Analyze test results and prepare test reports.
• Investigate software defects, identify customer-impacting issues, and document defects using Jira.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, product line managers, and product owners to develop optimized test coverage.
• Develop and maintain automated test cases using automation best practices.
• Create end-to-end UI automation, REST API automation, and system test automation.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking and lab environments to support testing scenarios.
• Research and evaluate tools and approaches for test automation.

The must haves:

• Testing theory, terminology, testing types, and asynchronous automated testing.
• Frontend testing frameworks/libraries: Cucumber, Webdriver.io.
• Backend testing: REST API testing automation tools.
• Container management: Kubernetes.
• Cloud environments: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
• Version control systems: Git, Bitbucket.
• Networking knowledge including IP addressing, subnets, VLANs, routing, switching, and protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, DNS); understanding of web application and microservice solution architecture; ability to learn complex technological concepts; written and interpersonal communication skills in English; ability to work independently and within a team.2

• Ticketing: Jira.
• Frontend programming/markup languages: TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SVG.
• Backend programming languages: Java/J2EE, Python.
• Programming theory: algorithms and data structures, relational and graph database concepts.
• Domain: Telecom, OSS.
• Databases: PostgreSQL, Neo4j, ClickHouse.
• Test Management: TestRail.
