POSITION SUMMARY: The Pump and Play Manager is responsible for day-to-day store operations, including scheduling, training, and supervising employees, supervisors and lead staff. The Pump and Play Manager is responsible for the store profits, and all controllable expenses including labor, inventory levels, and cash and inventory shortages.Â
ESSENTIAL DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIESincludethefollowing.
- Assist in the recruiting of, recommend for hire, and train, positive individuals to become members of the Pump & Play Convenience Store, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Handle the planning and prepare work schedules for staff.
- Motivate, encourage, and challenge store cashiers.
- Promote and resolve customer complaints, in a timely and professional manner.
- Have an understanding of the Patron Comp Policies and stay up to date on changes
- Implement and enforce established daily operating procedures to ensure store is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well kept.
- Ensure all merchandise is stocked and displays are attractive, priced correctly, and displayed in a safe manner.
- Maintain quality brand image standards as pass evaluations.
- Supervise, and discipline all store employees according to Bear River Casino Resort policy.
- Shall monitor and enforce the employee variance policy on a monthly basis.Â
- Monitor daily retail gasoline competitors and sending the prices to the corporate office in a timely manner as established by management.
- Complete daily paperwork and computer entry in a timely manner as established by management.
- Monitor cash over/short, inventory shrinkage, and drive offs daily.
- Conduct Store meetings as needed with employees. (A minimum of one monthly)
- Have the physical ability to perform all duties of a store cashier regularly and covers shifts as needed.
- Understand all information in the daily reporting of store operations.
- Follow and enforce all Bear River Casino Resort Policies and Established Procedures in the store Operations.
- Implement Monthly promotions, ensure all POS advertising/signage is properly posted at the proper time.
- Communicate and perform all price change request, mark downs / ups as requested by the General Manager.
- Communicate any problems with merchandise pricing.
- Implement and enforce all merchandising and vendor policies and procedures.
- Enforce all Safety and Security Issues and report any and all unsafe conditions. Prevents, stops, or reports any loitering, illegal, or immoral activities occurring on Bear River Property as soon as possible. Be alert to shoplifting and vendor theft and immediately report such activity.
- Conduct regular safety and Security Meeting and document with employees attending signatures.
- Report and process all employee and/ or customer incidents or accidents following company procedure.
- Otherdutiesmaybeassigned.
AUTHORITY/SUPERVISORYRESPONSIBILITIES:This position requires management over cashiers, supervisors, lead employees.Â
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Must have at least two (2)/years working in a convenience store.
- Must have management experience or equivalent training.
- Must be 21/years of age.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES,REGISTRATIONS:
- Must provide or obtain a Food Handlers certification upon hire and maintain during employment.Â
- Must obtain or have and maintain the Food Managers Certification. Â
- Must provide or obtain the Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification and maintain during employment.
- Must be able to maintain certification for gas station pumps.
COMPUTEROPERATIONS
- Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
LANGUAGESKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICALSKILLS:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONINGABILITY:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHERSKILLS ANDABILITIES:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Expertise and experience in sales operations.
- Ability to give direction and develop internal personnel.
- Be willing to work assigned schedule (days, nights, weekends) and any required overtime hours.
