POSITION SUMMARY

This is a part-time position with the potential to become full-time. The Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric services to individuals across the lifespan, with services focused oneither adults or children and adolescents, depending on clinical expertise and assigned caseload.

The position is responsible for providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management and reviews, psychiatric consultations, diagnostic assessments, and recommendations for ongoing medical and behavioral health care. The Psychiatrist serves as a senior clinical member of the comprehensive mental health team and works collaboratively with individuals, families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary staff to develop and monitor individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities include verifying and approving diagnoses, establishing and reviewing treatment goals and treatment plans, providing clinical consultation and recommendations for medical follow-up, and approving the completion and closing of cases in accordance with organizational policies and applicable standards.

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) Degree 
  • Must be Board eligible or certified as a psychiatrist
  • State of Michigan.
  • Must have adequate professional liability coverage.
  • Must have D.E.A. License and Michigan Controlled Substance License.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a private vehicle for day-to-day job performance.  
  • Extensive knowledge of various treatment methods for the mentally ill.
  • Knowledge of and ability to adhere to professional code of ethics.
  • Knowledge of and ability to comply with the Michigan Mental Health Code.
  • Ability to function as part of a professional team.
  • Flexibility in days and hours available for scheduled work.

Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and clinical expertise. The position includes a comprehensive benefits package and competitive pay, with part-time and full-time opportunities available.
