ABOUT SKJOLDET

We are a Danish fintech startup turning the approach to digital fraud on its head. Imagine being able to convert a phishing site into a signal that could stop everyone from losing money to that exact scam. That's what we're working on. And why? We witnessed first-hand how digital fraud hits ordinary people, especially those close to us, costing them both time and money. We decided to do something about it. Instead of reacting to fraud after the fact, we stop it proactively, outside the bank's systems, before the payment goes through. We are a small, ambitious team of two founders, developers and analysts, entering a new chapter of investment and scaling.

YOUR ROLE

As our Senior Software Developer, you'll be a cornerstone of the technical team, owning architecture decisions, driving performance, and helping build systems that process fraud signals at scale in real time. You'll work closely with our CTO and founding team and have real influence on the technical direction of the product.

• Design and build high-performance, scalable backend systems for real-time fraud detection

• Contribute to the architecture of Denmark's most ambitious fraud intelligence database

• Collaborate with fraud analysts and data scientists to turn signals into actionable prevention

• Own code quality, performance, and reliability across the stack

• Help shape our technical culture as the team grows

WHAT YOU BRING

• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js

• Solid understanding of NoSQL databases, ideally MongoDB

• Experience designing high-performance, production-grade systems

• Comfortable working across the full stack backend-heavy, with frontend awareness

• Interest in AI/ML and how it applies to detection and prevention problems

• Eager to grow and motivated by building technology that disrupts an industry

• Experience from fintech, finance or regulated environments is a plus
