About Proximity Foundation
Proximity Foundation runs structured coding education programs for young people aged 14-18 at Community Care Institutions (CCIs). Using a computer-based LMS curriculum covering HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL, we pair students with volunteer mentors in cohort-based sessions designed to build real technical skills and lasting confidence.
We are scaling from the first cohort to many cohorts within Mumbai and building the operational team that will carry this program forward. Every role in Proximity Foundation is a direct investment in the young people we serve.
Role Type : Volunteer
Time Commitment : 3-4 hrs/week
Department : Partnerships & Growth
Reports to : Lead Volunteer - Fundraising & Partnerships
ROLE FOCUS
You research and qualify potential donors - who could fund us, how much they can donate and how to reach out to them.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research potential donors that would form the backbone of the foundation
- Build, manage, and grow a pipeline of donor and CSR relationships
- Support Grant proposals and applications as and when needed.
WHAT A TYPICAL WEEK LOOKS LIKE
- You will research donors with the help of market researchers - CSR funds, government skilling schemes, HNI donors etc.
- Log findings in the fundraising tracker - one row per prospect
- Share the updated tracker with the team every week and follow up
- Flag anything that could also be a partnership so the head can coordinate
- Support grant proposals and applications as and when needed,
