Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking a detail-oriented and motivatedProperty Accountant. This role will play a key part in supporting the financial operations of a portfolio of properties and ensuring accuracy and compliance in all accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in property accounting and experience working with Yardi or similar ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

Performgeneral ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
Prepare and analyzemonthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Conductbank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
SupportCAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations and compliance
Analyze financial results and providevariance analysis
Assist withbudget preparation and forecasting
Review and performlease abstraction
Help resolveaccounts payable discrepancies in a timely manner
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and reporting compliance

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree inAccounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
3+ years of property accounting experience
Experience withYardi strongly preferred
Experience withMRI, Rent Manager, or similar ERP systems will also be considered
Strong knowledge ofGAAP and financial reporting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
