Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Proofpoint & Email Security Support Engineer to provide L2/L3 operational support for enterprise email security services. The role focuses on administering and supporting Proofpoint, investigating email security threats, troubleshooting mail-flow issues, performing threat remediation, and supporting policy optimization to strengthen the organization's security posture. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide L2/L3 administration and operational support forProofpoint.
  • Investigate and analyzeemail security incidents, including phishing, spam, malware, and impersonation attacks.
  • Troubleshoot email delivery and mail-flow issues impacting secure communication services.
  • Perform email threat analysis and remediation activities in accordance with operational procedures.
  • Support configuration, tuning, and optimization of Proofpoint policies to improve email security effectiveness.
  • Analyze false positives and false negatives and recommend improvements to email security controls.
  • Support security incident investigations and escalations related to email-based threats.
  • Coordinate with Service Desk, infrastructure, messaging, IAM, and security teams to resolve operational issues.
  • Execute approved quarantine, release, and other operational email security activities.
  • Maintain operational documentation, procedures, and runbooks.
  • Monitor recurring threats and email security trends to support proactive risk reduction.
  • Support reporting, operational metrics, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in change management activities and controlled implementation of approved policy updates.
  • Identify opportunities to improve threat analysis, incident handling, and operational efficiency within the email security environment.
