Quality Assurance Engineer (m/f/d) - remote GER

from 🇩🇪 Germany

As aQuality Assurance Engineer (m/f/d), you will be a key member of our SAP development team, ensuring the quality of our software solutions throughout the entire development lifecycle. You will work closely with engineering and product teams, apply modern testing approaches, and actively contribute to the evolution of our QA strategy and quality processes.
You will design and execute comprehensive test strategies, covering automated, exploratory, UI, API, and integration testing. By following a shift-left approach and complementing it with shift-right practices such as monitoring and observability, you ensure quality both before and after release.

Working closely with Product Owners and developers, you will be involved throughout the agile development lifecycle - from refinement sessions to acceptance testing - ensuring QA is fully embedded in the process.

You will also take ownership of building and maintaining test repositories and test data, as well as executing regular regression tests. In addition, you will drive the continuous improvement of QA processes, leveraging innovative, AI-supported testing approaches such as automated test case generation and self-healing tests.

Another key focus of your role will be the development and enhancement of test automation frameworks. As a quality advocate, you will share best practices and actively promote a strong quality culture within the team.
You have proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer (m/f/d) or in a similar role within software development, along with a solid foundation in modern testing methodologies. An ISTQB certification (at least Foundation Level) is required, with advanced certifications considered a plus.

You have hands-on experience with automated UI and API testing, ideally in an SAP or Fiori environment. You are also familiar with test management practices, including test repositories, test data management, and regression testing.

You are comfortable working in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) and have a good understanding of software development lifecycles. You combine strong analytical and detail-oriented thinking with excellent communication skills.

Additional experience with SAP, performance or security testing, monitoring tools, or an interest in AI-driven testing approaches would be an advantage.
