Job Summary
General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) designs and manufactures first-of-a-kind electromagnetic and electric power generation systems. GA-EMS' expanding portfolio of specialized products and integrated system solutions support critical fleet, space systems and satellites, missile defense, power and energy, and process and monitoring applications for defense, industrial, and commercial customers worldwide.This position is responsible for the administration and coordination of employee engagement initiatives across multiple office locations nationwide. The role focuses on planning and executing offsite engagement events, managing internal communications that support these activities, coordinating new employee orientation tours, and administering company recognition programs. This position works closely with site leadership and other internal stakeholders to enhance the overall employee experience.
This role is a reporting directly to the GA-EMS COO and Vice President of Operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Project Administrator (PA) will assist with leader programs at EMs. For example GA-EMS Leader Development Program (LDP) and Maverick technical expertise programs.
- Advise and deconflict the COO’s meetings schedule to help with priority based upon business impact.
- Organize and facilitate the GA-EMS President’s Award program.
- Support design and facilitation of GA-EMS “President’s Award” (new in 2026, similar to ASI Operational Excellence Award)
- GA-EMS Intellectual Property coordination (IP, patent awards)
- Quality Assurance, PQDR & PDNC Oversight
- Leader Development Program coordination
- Mendix strategic workflows (tooling includes moving from K2 to Mendix)
- Maverick Technical Expertise Program (MTEP)
- Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.

Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelors degree in Business Administration or a related discipline and ten or more years of progressive professional project administration experience. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
- Must demonstrate a complete understanding of project administration and employee engagement principles, concepts, and techniques. Must have experience organizing, planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating work to ensure engagement events and programs are delivered on time and meet defined milestones.
- Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them in an evolving environment while contributing to the development and improvement of engagement and communication processes. Must be customer focused and possess:
- The ability to identify issues, analyze data (such as participation and feedback), and develop solutions to a variety of complex engagement and communication challenges.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings and recommendations.
- Strong interpersonal skills enabling an effective interface with employees at all levels, including leaders, managers, and staff across multiple locations.
- Good computer skills, including proficiency with standard office software and collaboration/communication tools.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential, as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required to support events and key engagement activities.
