About The Client:
An intelligent data infrastructure company that provides enterprise customers with unified data storage, integrated data services, and cloud operations (CloudOps) solutions. The company is based in San Jose, California. The Client offers cloud data services for online and physical management of applications and data.
Qualifications:
- Entry-level *** skilled resource (2-3 yrs of ***/ONTAP administration/troubleshooting/debugging skills).
- Preferably Bangalore-based resource who can work with the GSSC team in the *** office Thrice a week.
- 24*7*365 work schedule with 2 days off every week, which could be either "2 off days mid-week" (or) can also be "2 off days with 1 weekday and 1 weekend" combination
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Experienced in *** Storage (Deploying and administering *** Storage – CDOT, Troubleshooting Performance Issues, performing firmware and operating system upgrades, using storage management tools – OnCommand Unified Manager/ Performance Manager/ Insight, Managing backup integration with *** technologies);
- Proficient understanding of *** Storage concepts, related management tools and related Storage technologies (Snapshots, controller failover, provisioning, deduplication, cloning, SnapMirror, IntelliSnap) including monitoring and troubleshooting, administration, replication technologies, security hardening and performance tuning.
- A thorough understanding of other components in the infrastructure stack – compute, virtualization and networks: (***/Cisco), VMWare vSphere, Microsoft Operating Systems )
- Strong understanding of Storage protocols and technologies (CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel switching and networks)
- Knowledge in ITIL methodologies: change, incident, problem and configuration management.
- Understanding of outsourcing/managed service
- ITIL Fundamentals certification desired.
- Working knowledge of monitoring platforms, WANs, SANs, backup and disaster recovery platforms.
- Working knowledge on various DR solutions, DR tests and backup technologies like snaps and clones.
- Experience in Linux System Administration
- Strong customer communication skills;
- Built and maintained strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Positive, proactive, team-orientated attitude with a flexible and innovative approach to work.
