Brief Role Summary
The Production Supervisor leads daily production operations while developing a high-performing team focused on safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement.Â
This role goes beyond supervising production — it requires a leader who can anticipate challenges, improve processes, and build engaged teams that consistently deliver results. The supervisor partners closely with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to meet customer expectations and drive operational excellence.Â

Key Responsibilities
Lead & Develop People
- Supervise and coach a team of 20+ production associatesÂ
- Establish clear expectations and accountability for safety, quality, and productivityÂ
- Provide consistent feedback, recognition, and performance coachingÂ
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new employeesÂ
- Foster a positive, respectful, and performance-driven team cultureÂ
Drive Operational ExecutionÂ
- Execute daily production plans to meet customer and operational targetsÂ
- Plan and organize work priorities, staffing, and workflowÂ
- Monitor performance metrics and address gaps proactivelyÂ
- Collaborate with Plant Manager and Plant Coordinator to anticipate operational needsÂ
Ensure Safety & ComplianceÂ
- Maintain a safe working environment aligned with OSHA and internal safety standardsÂ
- Enforce company policies fairly and consistentlyÂ
- Submit timely incident documentation and corrective actionsÂ
- Promote a safety-first culture across the production floorÂ
Improve ProcessesÂ
- Investigate operational deviations using root-cause analysisÂ
- Implement corrective and preventative actionsÂ
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing effortsÂ
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and team effectivenessÂ
Administrative LeadershipÂ
- Review and approve timekeeping, overtime, and payroll adjustmentsÂ
- Maintain accurate documentation related to team member performance and operationsÂ
- Communicate effectively across shifts and departmentsÂ
Qualifications

We are seeking high-potential individuals who want to build a long-term career in operations leadership. This role is designed as an entry point into Genesis’ operational leadership pipeline, with the goal of developing future Plant Managers and business leaders.Â
Strong candidates may come from manufacturing, operations, business, engineering, supply chain, or other fast-paced environments where leadership, problem-solving, and accountability are essential.Â

Required QualificationsÂ
- Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent professional experienceÂ
- 0–5 years of professional work experienceÂ
- Demonstrated leadership potential through academics, internships, projects, athletics, military service, or early career rolesÂ
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsÂ
- Ability to communicate effectively with both frontline employees and leadershipÂ
- High level of ownership, initiative, and learning agilityÂ

Preferred QualificationsÂ
- Degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or related fieldÂ
- Internship or work experience in manufacturing, logistics, operations, or analytical rolesÂ
- Exposure to lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or process optimizationÂ
- Experience leading projects, teams, or initiatives (formal supervision not required)Â
