We are looking for an Analyst to support Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Finance and Commercial leadership by transforming commercial data into meaningful analyses, business intelligence, and actionable insights.

As part of a growing Insights & Analytics function, this position offers the opportunity to build expertise across data, business intelligence, analytics and stakeholder partnership while helping to shape how data, analytics, automation, and emerging technologies are leveraged to improve commercial performance.

This role is hybrid (3) days a week on site in Parsippany, NJ

What You'll Be Doing

Commercial Analytics & Insights

• Analyze customer, product, market, competitive, and commercial performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and business insights
• Support recurring and ad hoc analyses that help stakeholders understand business performance and key commercial drivers
• Assist in translating business questions into analytical approaches and actionable insights
• Present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
• Support forecasting, market assessments, and other commercial planning activities through data analysis and reporting

Reporting, Business Intelligence & Data Management

• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, scorecards, and KPI reporting that support commercial decision-making
• Support reporting automation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work with internal and external data sources to develop integrated views of commercial performance
• Support data preparation, validation, reconciliation, and quality improvement efforts
• Assist in troubleshooting data issues and identifying opportunities to improve analytical processes and reporting efficiency
• Support evaluation and adoption of new analytical, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities that improve access to insights and business information

Stakeholder Support & Business Partnership

• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and support analytical requests
• Support executive reporting, business reviews, and commercial performance management activities
• Provide analytical and reporting support for sales force effectiveness, territory performance, incentive compensation reporting, and other commercial operations initiatives
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to the continued development of the organization's analytics capabilities
• Manage assigned projects and deliverables with increasing independence and ownership

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
• 1 to 4 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, reporting, sales analytics, marketing analytics, or a related analytical role
• Experience within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, life sciences, OTC, CPG, or other commercial environments
• Experience using data analysis and reporting tools such as Power BI, and Tableau.
• Experience analyzing and integrating data from multiple sources to support reporting, analysis, and business decision-making
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SQL, Power Query, DAX, Salesforce, or similar analytical technologies
• Familiarity with data modeling, reporting automation, forecasting, customer analytics, or commercial performance analytics is a plus 

Competitive base salary based on experience and qualifications: $88,000-110,000 (subject to variation).  

Posted salary ranges are provided in good faith. embecta reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the selected candidate’s experience, qualifications, external market conditions, and internal equity considerations.   

Base pay is one component of the Total Rewards package at embecta, which also includes eligibility for [an annual bonus] [a sales incentive bonus].
