What aCollege Intern – Manufacturing ProcessEngineer does at HP:
- Gain hands-onexposure to final assembly manufacturing processes,Industry 4.0 solutions and technologies, and essential professional skills—including root cause analysis, Lean Six Sigma,data analysis, and executivepresentations.
- Work alongside the Process Engineering team to ensureassembly processesmeet quality and operationalperformance targets ininkjet printhead manufacturing.
- Contribute to technical investigations and failure analyses of process-related quality issues, helping the team identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with teammatesand cross-functional partners on Industry 4.0and continuous improvement projects, developing innovative conceptsthat strengthen process capabilities andimproveline productivity.
Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:
- Currently pursuing a degree inMechanical, Materials, Electrical,or Industrial Engineering,oranequivalent discipline.
- Availability for a full-time internshipbeginning inJanuary 2027,with acommitment ofat least five to six months.
- A foundational understanding ofmanufacturing processes and data analytics; practical or academic experience is an advantage.
- The curiosity and agility to learnnew technologies and methodologies quickly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills demonstrated through university coursework, projects, or related experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic programming experience in Python or asimilarlanguage.
- A growth mindset, collaborative approach, and enthusiasm for learning and contributing as part of a team.
