The mission for Google Commerce is to be an essential part of the shopping journey for consumers - from inspiration to to a simple and secure checkout experience - and the best place for retailers/merchants to connect with consumers. We support and partner with the commerce ecosystem, from large retailers to small local merchants, to give them the tools, technology and scale to thrive in today’s digital world.Google will be prioritizing applicants who have a current right to work in Singapore, and do not require Google's sponsorship of a visa.Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 1 year of experience with Android application development.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Experience in back-end coding languages such as GOLang, Rust, or Java.
- Experience in Machine Learning (ML) model coding languages (e.g., Python).
Responsibilities
- Work extensively in a Flutter (Dart) codebase delivering seamless, cross-platform (e.g., Android and iOS) shopping experiences to Google Pay users.
- Partner effectively with Product Manager (PM) and User Experience (UX) leads to build new user-facing experiences, and collaborate closely with cross-Product Area (PA) partner teams (e.g., Google Shopping and Augmented Reality and Machine Learning (ARML)) to integrate AI/ML models into the client.
- Develop and iterate on Large Language Model (LLM) prompts and Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure setup to improve the quality of our conversational AI stylist.
- Conduct AI evaluations, including operational and qualitative assessments for conversational AI response and image/video GenAI results.
