Overview

We are looking for motivated, reliable, and customer-focused drivers to join our new and fast-growing logistics operation in Coalville. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing excellent service while ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to navigate various routes efficiently.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive daily rates: from £121.50 per day ranging up to £146 with potential for performance-related bonuses
  • Regular, pre-planned routes (no sortation – all parcels pre-sequenced and pre-mapped)
  • All deliveries within a 30-mile radius of the depot

Role Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload your van at the depot
  • Complete your route within a 9-hour shift (from depot departure to return).
  • Follow efficient routes to deliver parcels safely, on time, and efficiently
  • Maintain a high level of customer service at all times
  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
  • Conduct daily routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Deliver parcels to residential and business addresses using a provided van.
  • Follow the set route sequence on the driver app.
  • Communicate with dispatch regarding any issues.

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license (max 6 points)
  • Proof of right to work in the UK
  • Good communication skills and professional outlook
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Able to pass background check and license check

Job Type:

Self-employed contract

Shifts: Up to 6 days per week, approx. 9 hours per day

Skills

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver is essential.
  • Valid driving license with a clean driving record, experience driving commercial vehicles is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
