Job Description: Planned end date listed as 5/31/27 but very high chance of extension once budgets are finalized. Accepting bill rates up to $80/hr.
work location: On Site at LAHQ
hours/week: 40
work site : LAHQ - has to be M-F at LAHQ
travel/expenses? : None
Work schedule: 10-7 M-F, 8-5 may be an option once an ETW is selected, ETW must be open to 10-7
No education requirements, experience based role
5 years direct experience required
Top 3-5 must have skills:
Experience leading a small team
Experience on a film and photo set
Must have an in depth understanding of lighting and grip
Experience with cinema cameras is a plus - Red Komodo X
Proficiency with basic microsoft suite, airtable and figma is a plus.
Desired soft skills:
Working in a team is paramount.
Must be a good communicator
Must be able to plan ahead
Ability to work in a high volume big production environment without getting overwhelmed or stressed out.
Combination of skills & expertise that would make a candidate stand out?
Someone who can communicate effectively, can anticipate needs of the team without being told what the next steps are.
Main focus of the role for first 90 days:
Going to spend a lot of training time in the role. Will need a ramp up period on their tools, production calendars, and team structure. After 2 months they will be relatively up to speed.
Team size/reporting structure:
Will work with 3-5 team members each day but roster is 30 day to day that they will need to know. This person will schedule those team members according to their skill set.
Will be scheduling and working with:
Stage hands
Grips
Gaffers
Camera operators and set up staff
This role will be on the ground assisting with equipment set up and changeover in Nike's LA Icon Photo and Film Studio.
Will schedule and direct the flow of the editorial floor with 8 bays. Will need to make sure the bays are built, lit, and metered for start of shooting early in the morning. Will assist with moving people from one bay to another which can change styles of shooting etc.
Will be in meetings to plan production and go over future planning.
They will need to get to know the team to properly schedule the right people for the right role.
Likely will not work out for someone that has been on another team for decades, they want someone trainable that can come in and learn the process.
The role does not entail any heavy lifting but does require the ETW to be on their feet and moving quite a lot during the day. Candidate should be prepared for that aspect of the role.
