Migration Deployment Specialist – Scheduling (IBM Z Workload Scheduler)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced scheduling migration specialist to support large-scale migrations toIBM Z Workload Scheduler (IZWS / IWS). This role serves as a subject matter expert in batch scheduling conversion across development, test, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support migration of batch scheduling workloads toIBM Z Workload Scheduler.
• Analyze legacy scheduling definitions fromCA-7,CA ESP,Jobtrac,BMC Control-M, andASG Zeke/Zebb and map them to IBM scheduler structures.
• Execute parallel tracking, schedule validation, dependency analysis, and issue resolution.
• Monitor workload execution usingTSO/ISPF and IBM scheduler interfaces.
• Provide technical guidance and training to scheduling teams and operational staff.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

• Strong mainframe background inOS/390 orz/OS
• Deep hands-on experience withIBM Z Workload Scheduler (IZWS / IWS).
• Hands-on migration experience from Non-IBM / ISV scheduling platforms such asCA-7,CA ESP,CA Workload Automation ESP,Jobtrac,BMC Control-M, orASG Zeke/Zebb to IBM Z Workload Scheduler.
• StrongTSO/ISPF editing skills and expert-level understanding ofJCL.
• Experience with dependency analysis, schedule validation, report review, and iterativeparallel tracking
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical collaboration and customer-facing work.

• REXX programming skills.
• Workload Automation Programming LanguageWAPL
• Dynamic Workload Console familiarity.
