Franchise Attorney (Franchise Law, FDD, Compliance & Agreements – Full-Time, U.S. Hours)

About the Role

We’re hiring aFranchise Attorney to support clients withfranchise agreements, compliance, and legal strategy across franchise operations and expansion.

In this role, you’ll draft and reviewFranchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs), advise onU.S. franchise regulations, and help clients navigategrowth while staying compliant.

If you have experience infranchise law, commercial agreements, and regulatory compliance, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

Franchise Agreements & Documentation

• Draft, review, and negotiate:
• Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs)
• Franchise agreements
• Related commercial contracts
• Ensure all documents comply withfederal and state franchise laws

Legal Advisory & Compliance

• Provide legal guidance on:
• Franchise structures
• Compliance requirements
• Operational considerations
• Monitor changes infranchise regulations and advise clients proactively
• Conductdue diligence for franchise transactions

Risk Management & Dispute Resolution

• Identify legal risks in franchise operations
• Support dispute resolution through:
• Negotiation
• Mediation
• Litigation coordination
• Recommend strategies tomitigate legal exposure

Client Support & Collaboration

• Serve as a trusted legal advisor to clients
• Translate complex legal requirements intoclear, actionable guidance
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders ongrowth and compliance strategies

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar membership in at least one U.S. state
• 3+ years of experience in:
• Franchise law
• Commercial law or related legal fields
• Proven experience with:
• FDDs and franchise agreements
• Compliance and regulatory advisory
• Strong understanding ofU.S. franchise laws and regulations
• Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Nice to Have

• Experience supportingfranchise expansion or multi-unit operations
• Background inlitigation or dispute resolution within franchise law
• Experience working withhigh-growth or multi-location businesses
• Priorin-house counsel experience
