Patient Navigator - Operating Rooms - Full Time - Days

Patient Navigators spend their days navigating a multitude of adventures: on the phone, on the floor, dashing across the hospital and diving into the paperwork. They might be the first person a patient sees and last person to smile and wave. But every minute, they're always Putting Patients First. Now, you can make it possible.  

Serve as a patient ally throughout the continuum of care in our Perioperative services. Coordinate the full breadth of the patient experience by rounding in Pre-Op and Post-Op areas and acting as liaison between patient, family members, and OR staff. Work closely with all members of the team to ensure patients have a seamless journey. Take responsibility for the first and last impression our patients & their family members have of the hospital by providing a high level of customer service that is in-line with NYP standards of care.

The shift for this a full time day shift position at the NYP/Allen Hospital working 7:00am - 3:30pm

Preferred Criteria

• Experience in healthcare setting working directly with patients

• Experience working with customers

• Bachelor's degree

• Bilingual Spanish

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED 

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
