Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Hours: 32 hours per week

Overview

The Biologist will support the microbiology laboratory team by performing standard microbiological testing and general laboratory activities. This position supports the North America Henkel Consumer Brands business, including brands such as Dial, Persil, all, and Purex.

The role is well suited for candidates with microbiology laboratory experience or a life sciences background that includes microbiology coursework.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard microbiological testing, including preservative effectiveness testing, microbial limits testing, time-kill kinetic studies, and in vivo testing.

• Prepare large quantities of microbiological media.

• Operate an autoclave according to established laboratory procedures.

• Handle live microorganisms in accordance with standard safety and testing procedures.

• Perform basic microbiological laboratory testing.

• Wash and maintain laboratory glassware and dishes.

• Record, document, and report testing results accurately.

• Support general microbiology laboratory operations and testing activities.

• Work independently as needed after completing required training.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a microbiology laboratory is preferred.

• Degree in life sciences with microbiology coursework is preferred.

• Candidates currently pursuing a microbiology degree with basic laboratory coursework may also be considered.

• Basic understanding of microbiology laboratory procedures and techniques.

• Ability to follow established laboratory procedures and accurately document results.
