C++ Backend Engineer

We are seeking a C++ Backend Engineer to build and operate backend services that power player-facing experiences in a live, high-traffic environment. You will deliver reliable APIs, scalable systems, secure data handling, and strong operational excellence in close partnership with client engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design backend services and APIs consumed by latency-sensitive game or client UI
• Implement secure authentication and authorization and protect sensitive user data
• Build scalable data models and storage strategies including transactions and caching
• Define pagination, rate limiting, and idempotency patterns to ensure safe, repeatable requests
• Own reliability through monitoring, alerting, incident response, and post-incident improvements
• Collaborate with client engineers to shape API contracts and resilient user flows
• Write automated tests, participate in code reviews, and improve CI/CD and deployment practices

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience building production backend systems for consumer-facing products at scale
• Hands-on experience collaborating with client engineers to define API contracts and resilient UI flows
• Proven experience owning service reliability through monitoring, alerting, and incident response
• Strong API design skills with REST and/or gRPC, including versioning and backward compatibility
• Solid database fundamentals with SQL (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and practical caching experience with Redis
• Strong cloud and operations fundamentals with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and observability (logs, metrics, tracing)
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2) for daily collaboration and technical discussions
