Our greatest asset has been, and will continue to be, our people. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Automation System Integrator within our US Onshore Resources & Carbon Management Business Unit based in Casper Wyoming.Â
The Automation Integrator executes on Automation Engineering deliverables by programming and/or installing PLC programs and validating compliance to engineering design. Supports Automation Engineering with design and control systems improvements. Works with Automation Construction and Commissioning Project Managers to commission facilities. Responsible for PLC Programming development and HMI/LOI programming and design work. Assist with oversite of automation electrical design. Troubleshooting/Testing/Debugging of programs and redlining of engineering documentation as applicable for Engineering As-Builts. Manages timely deliverables on projects.

Engaged participation in project meetings and design reviewsÂ

Advanced understanding of facilities equipment, process flow and automationcontrol systems and designs. Savvy withElectrical systems, Mechanical systems, Software applications,data management, and network security withability toapply knowledge and experience to offer solutions.Â
Developandvalidate function ofautomation programs ensuring complianceto automation engineering documentationÂ
Use of all forms of software such asPLC Software (Examples) RSLogix500, RSLogix5000, DirectSoft5, ROCLINK 800/DS800;programsfor HMIs, Red Lion Crimson, Factory Talk View, and Panelview; programRTUs andsupport troubleshooting. Â
Completeredlines and relevant documentationto automation engineering (C&Es, P&IDs,1-lines, etc.) to support current AS-BUILT post commissioning. Â
Follow company Management of Change (MOC) processÂ
Adhere to Oxy program standardization and best practicesÂ
Support operations and automation specialists with training on automation control system functionsÂ
Supporttraining of aspiring automation integrators on organizational processes, programming automation control systems, equipment, and documentation. Â
Support low VAC devices– including but not limited to transformers, breaker boxes, electrical switches, heaters,motors and analyzersÂ
Provide troubleshooting and basic repair to 120v AC power supply to automation systems and devices.  Â
Support troubleshooting of 480v andless of AC power availability and notify electrical team of findings needing service/repair.  Â
Support automation end devices (switches, transmitters, etc.)Â - calibrate, troubleshoot, install, and use Hart communicator and multi metersÂ
Identify and troubleshoot Ethernet, serial,satellite and wireless field communicationsÂ
Responsible for ensuring alarms are within the guidelines of Oxy standards, accurately represent the process, function as intended and followappropriate change control protocols Â
Communicate project activities with Asset TeamsÂ
Assist in evaluation ofnew technologies providing pro and con analogiesÂ
Supportcustomers (operations) as liaison with Automation Engineering toassist in design of projects and a desired operating philosophyÂ
Active participation in Oxy Process Improvement TeamsÂ
Ability and willingness to travel to support unassigned job areas on an as-needed basis.Â
Ability and willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays andparticipate in an on-call rotation when neededÂ
Advanced teamwork and collaboration abilities with internal and external business units exemplifying aresponsible attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors, and the publicÂ

Qualifications:
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent working experience Â
- 1+ years Automation Specialist/Tech experience Â
- 7+ years Automation Integrator/Programming experienceÂ
- 3+ years of Oil Field Process Facilities experienceÂ
Â
 Preferred:Â
4-year technical degree (Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation Control Systems or related fieldor equivalent work experience Â
Advanced level of understanding of automation and electrical design principles.Â
Advanced Knowledge & technical skills working with PLCs, HMIs, RTUs, EFMs, POCs (Allan Bradley,Totalflow, ROCs, Coriolis, etc.) andautomation end devices.Â
Intermediate knowledge of technical standards and guidelines (API, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, ISA, etc.)Â
Advanced understanding of PSSRs (Pre-Startup Safety Review) and MOCs (Management of Change)Â
Advanced understanding of automation systems and how they connect through networksÂ
Advanced understanding of digital and analog I/O, programming, and troubleshootingÂ
Proficient knowledge of analog and discrete instrumentation, and various serial and ethernet communications protocolsÂ
Experienced in tagging conventions, programming simulation and testingÂ
Extensiveexpertise in safe work systems.Â
Expertise in Electrical / Automation construction codes and practicesÂ
Extensive knowledge of automation equipment specifications and applicationÂ
Advanced Time management skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines Â
Ability to work and perform under pressureÂ
Ability toassist in estimating budgets and manage budgetsÂ
Understanding of gas engineering principles and gas measurement standardsÂ
Proficiencies in Leadership, Mentoring and TrainingÂ
Advanced Communication Skills including written, oral, and remote meeting skillsÂ
Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsÂ
Proficient skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and Windows Operating SystemsÂ
