Salary: $21 hr
Schedule: Mon - Fri 9am - 5pmÂ
Job Summary: Â
The Outreach Advocate provides direct support, advocacy, and resource coordination for survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their children. This role conducts intakes, crisis intervention, safety planning, case management, and community outreach while ensuring services are trauma-informed, strengths-based, and compliant with legal and grant requirements.Â
Responsibilities:Â
- Critically assess client situations and respond appropriately on a case-by-case basisÂ
- Conduct walk-in intakes including safety planning, crisis intervention, transportation coordination, and internal/external referralsÂ
- Provide case management services for general intake participantsÂ
- Serve as a resource on housing opportunities within the stateÂ
- Collaborate with other Outreach Advocates to meet THRIVE program requirementsÂ
- Partner with victim advocates to coordinate shared case management goalsÂ
- Work cooperatively with community agencies serving victims of domestic and sexual violenceÂ
- Create, update, and disseminate program resource materialsÂ
- Provide outreach at community events by distributing program information and offering immediate assistanceÂ
- Conduct community presentations and tabling eventsÂ
- Maintain participant files in accordance with legal and grant requirements, including timely documentation of intakes, progress notes, and closuresÂ
- Support internal departments as neededÂ
- Drive a personal or agency vehicle to conduct program businessÂ
- Respond to OSR requestsÂ
- Attend all required meetings and trainingsÂ
- Perform other duties as assignedÂ
Qualifications:Â
Education:Â
- High School Diploma or GED required.Â
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Women’s Studies, Justice Studies, Counseling, Family Studies, Criminal Justice, Pre-Law, or a related field preferred. Â
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.Â
Experience:Â
- Minimum 6 months of work experience in social work or human services required, or related education may substituteÂ
- Experience working with survivors of trauma, domestic violence, or sexual violence preferredÂ
- Strong interviewing, crisis intervention, and documentation skills requiredÂ
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferredÂ
- Financial literacy skills such as budgeting and cash flow tracking preferredÂ
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:Â
- Combination of office-based work and frequent community-based outreach activitiesÂ
- Regular travel within the community to attend meetings, conduct outreach, provide transportation support, and participate in events or site visitsÂ
- Work performed in a variety of environments including office settings, community locations, partner agency sites, and event venuesÂ
- Frequent interaction with individuals experiencing crisis or traumaÂ
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer and completing documentationÂ
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. for materials or office supplies.Â
- Standard office environment with exposure to typical office equipment, such as computers, phones, and printers.Â
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.Â

Mandated Reporter Requirements:Â
- As a mandated reporter under Arizona statute A.R.S. § 13-3620, you are required to immediately report any suspected abuse or neglect of a minor to your Supervisor, Manager, Director, Clinical Director, or Chief Officer, who will assist in making the appropriate report to authorities.Â
- Reports should be directed to either the local law enforcement agency or child protective services (1-888-SOS-CHILD). Abuse suspected of involving a family member or legal guardian should be reported to child protective services, while other cases should be reported to law enforcement.Â
