The Ottawa Senators are looking for a back-up In-Game Host to join the Game Presentation team.
This is a casual, part-time position responsible for bringing energy and excitement to Ottawa Senators home games by engaging fans and serving as an on-camera host and emcee for in-game promotions, contests, and activations, as required.
The ideal candidate is a confident, charismatic and highly energetic performer who thrives in a live environment. They are comfortable thinking on their feet, connecting with audiences of all ages, taking direction, and creating memorable experiences for Ottawa Senators fans.
Job Responsibilities
- Attend select Ottawa Senators home games, which are held on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Executing in-game promotions, giveaways, and contests with fans.
- Deliver messaging live on camera and executing live on-camera interviews.
- Maintaining an energetic attitude and hyping up the crowd.
- Appear in promotional/marketing pieces as needed.
Job RequirementsÂ
- 1-3+ years of hosting on-camera live events, large-scale productions, or radio host/emcee experience required.
- Bilingual in English and French, with the ability to confidently communicate and perform live in both languages, is preferred.
- Ability to:
- Entertain and engage large audiences in both scripted and unscripted environments.
- Connect with fans and assist with explanation, planning and execution of promotions
- Deliver clear, energetic, and expressive messaging on a microphone and on camera.
- Perform confidently in front of large audiences and adapt to a live, dynamic environment.
- Work collaboratively with the Game Presentation team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Attend pre-game staff meetings, typically 2–2.5 hours prior to opening faceoff, as well as rehearsals when required.
- Host additional Ottawa Senators events and appearances, as required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible hours and available to work select home games including preseason and postseason if applicable.
- Strong knowledge and enthusiasm for hockey, including NHL teams, players, terminology, and basic rules and game flow.

- Candidate must be 19 years of age or older to apply.
- Applicants are required to submit a demo reel showcasing previous live event hosting, on-camera, emcee, or broadcast experience. The demo reel should highlight the candidate’s ability to engage an audience, deliver scripted and unscripted content, demonstrate strong on-camera presence, and perform confidently in a live environment.

Compensation: $250.00 per game.
