Lead QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for aLead QA Automation Engineer to join Telia’s SAP CRM team and take a leading role in building and developing a modern QA automation solution for the SAP CRM and SAP TC domains.

This is a unique opportunity tobuild a QA automation framework from the ground up and help establish aGold Standard QA Automation Framework that can become a benchmark for other Telia teams and units.

Requirements 

• Proven experience as a Lead QA Automation Engineer.
• Strong experience with Playwright — mandatory.
• Good knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience designing and developing automation frameworks and a strong understanding of QA automation best practices.
• Experience in SAP QA Automation — mandatory.
• An AI-native approach to software engineering and SDLC, with an interest in applying AI to modern QA practices.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and make a significant impact within a team.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Lithuanian is a plus.
• Previous manual testing experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of a robust QA automation framework for SAP CRM and SAP TC.
• Build automation solutions from scratch while further developing and improving existing solutions.
• Work closely with Telia’s business and IT leaders to promote QA automation best practices.
• Collaborate with existing QA and AQA teams, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing.
• Educate team members on modern QA concepts, methodologies, and automation practices.
• Introduce and leverage AI technologies to improve QA processes, automation, and overall testing efficiency.
• Perform manual testing when required to ensure comprehensive test coverage and product quality.
