About the Role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of our cloud infrastructure and help evolve a modern AWS-based platform. You will work on reliability, observability, automation, security, and CI/CD — and occasionally support backend engineers with troubleshooting or small contributions to our backend services.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building scalable systems, improving developer workflows, and driving technical excellence across a growing engineering team.

What You Will Do

• Own and improve AWS infrastructure across staging and production environments.

• Build, maintain, and standardize Infrastructure-as-Code usingTerraform.

• Manage and optimize containerized workloads onECS Fargate.

• Strengthen observability: metrics, dashboards, alerting, and logging.

• Improve CI/CD pipelines usingGitHub Actions.

• Enhance IAM, secrets management, and overall cloud security posture.

• Perform maintenance of databases running on RDS (Postgres, MySQL).

• Support backend teams with debugging, migrations, or small changes inNode.js/NestJS when needed.

• Drive automation, reliability, and scalability across the platform.

What We’re Looking For

Core Technical Skills

• AWS Expertise, including but not limited to:

  • VPC (subnets, routing, NAT gateways, ALBs, security groups)

  • Route53

  • ECS (Fargate)

  • Lambda

  • RDS (MySQL/Postgres)

• Strong experience withTerraform.

• Deep understanding ofAWS networking and secure infrastructure design.

• Experience operatingRDS (backups, upgrades, failovers, troubleshooting).

• Hands-on CloudWatch experience (metrics, dashboards, Logs Insights, alarms).

• Good understanding ofevent-driven systems (SQS, SNS, Lambda triggers, retries, DLQs).

• Strong proficiency withDocker and containerized deployments.

• Experience withGitHub Actions and modern CI/CD workflows.

• Programming skills inTypescript,Python orGolang.

• Experience setting up amonitoring stack.

Additional Desired Experience

• Experience withDocker image hardening and optimization (multi-stage builds, non-root users).

• Familiarity withAPI gateways or automatingOpenAPI specifications.

• Experience integratingSSO/SAML/OIDC for cloud and internal tools.

• Experience improvingsecrets management.

• Familiarity with secure file transfer mechanisms (SFTP/SSH key setups).

• Experience withdistributed backend architectures (microservices, event-driven, multi-service systems).
