Electrical Foreman
Location: Pecos, TX

General Information/Job Summary
Coordinates and directs the activities of Electrical craft personnel to complete construction and maintenance tasks in a timely, safe, and cost-efficient manner. Works under the direction of the General Foreman and/or Superintendent, supervising and directing the work of a group of craft or trade engaged in various tasks; does other related duties as required.
Responsibilities/Competencies
- Musthave a broadworkingknowledge oftheirassigned craft.
- Must demonstrate anaboveaverageknowledge of all facets of their trade andhaveextensive personalexperience performing in the trade.
- Must possessknowledge of safety procedures andhavegood interpersonal andcommunicationskills. Â Responsiblefor promoting safetyawareness andfor enforcing safety policies.
- Develops effectivework plans,givesassignments/instructionstoworkcrewsandsupervisestheirworkactivity.
- Must possessability tomotivate members of work crew and ensure that the crew under theirsupervision completes theirassignedtaskssafely,skillfully,andefficiently,andthatassignedworkprogresses on schedule.
- Must be able to read andvisualize objects from blueprints andhave aneyeforprecise detail.
- Communicatewithsupervisors to keep them informed onprogress of workassignments and/or any new problems.
- Estimates labor, materials, and equipment needed to completeworkassignments.
- Inspects and tests orsupervises inspection/testing of completedworkassignments ofcrew, checkingfor compliancewith projectdrawings, specifications, andquality control procedures.
- Preparesdaily reports and maintains records and files.Maintainsinventory of material associatedwithassigned work.
- Recommends promotion/demotion of subordinates and identifies training needs.
- Requiresworking in operatingfacilitiesandobservingandabidingbyadditionalsafetypoliciesand procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Four (4)years of Industrial Experience supervising Electrical Craft Employees in a safe and productive manner.
- Musthave a broadworkingknowledge of theirassignedcraft(carpentry,pipefitting,equipmentoperation/rigging, instrument/electrical,welding),havingthesamebasicaptitudeandinterests as thoseworking in the craft theysupervise.
- Must demonstrate anaboveaverageknowledge of all facetsoftheirtradeandhaveextensive personalexperience performing in thetrade.
- Must possessknowledge of safety procedures andhavegood interpersonal and communicationskills. Responsible for promoting safetyawareness and for enforcing safetypolicies.  May at timesrequireoverallaccountability of Job Site Safety.
- Develops effectivework plans,giving assignments/instructions to foreman and/orworkcrews andsupervises theirworkactivity.
- Must possessability tomotivate subordinates under theirsupervision to complete theirassigned tasks safely,skillfully, and efficiently, andwithin the project schedule.
- Must be able to read andvisualize objects fromblueprints andhave aneye for precise detail.
- CommunicatewithSuperintendent/ProjectManager to keep them informed onprogress ofworkassignments and/orany new problems.
- Must be able to deal effectivelywithemployeesandvariouslevelsofcustomerrepresentatives toresolvescheduling problems, determineworkpriorities, and assess therelativemagnitude of projectrequirements as they impact projectscheduling.
- Estimates labor, materials, and equipment needed to completeworkassignments.
- Inspects and tests orsupervises inspection/testing of completedworkassignments ofcrew, checking for compliancewith projectdrawings, specifications, andquality controlprocedures.May at timesrequireoverall responsibilityforqualitycontrol/quality assurance.
- Preparesdailyprogress reports and maintains records and files.Maintainsinventory of material associatedwithassignedwork.
- Recommends promotion/demotion of subordinates and identifies training needs.
- Has the authority to discipline, including terminationwhenwarranted.Discipline and terminations are discussedwithManagementprior to acting.
- Requiresworking in operating facilities andobservingand abiding by additional safety
- policies and procedures.
- State Electrical License.
- Other duties as assigned
Safety Requirements
- On a continual basis, promotes anawareness ofenvironmental, health and safetypolicies to ensure a safeworkingenvironment andensurescompliancewithallaccompanypolicies
- Ability to pass drug testas mandated by the Saulsbury Industries and Department of Transportation anti-drugprogram
- Must attend and successfully complete SaulsburyIndustries safety training education
- Attends safetymeetings and specialty training as directed by management
- Attendsvarious training classes as may beassigned by management
- Perform related duties andresponsibilities asrequired
- Ability to take needed safety precautions in performing thework
- Must own Fire Resistant Clothing (FRC)

- Ability to stand for long periods of time.Â
