Aurora Dairies are currently seeking a casual Farm Hand for animmediate start for a period of 4 weeks, for a dairy farm located in Dairy Plains, which is 10 minutes away from Deloraine or 1 hour from Launceston.
The farm is 300 hectares, currently milking 1,250 cows, through a 50-bail rotary shed.
This farm is 100% Spring calving beginning in mid- August. The herd is medium frame cross breed cows with a strong focus on animal health and pasture management.
This role will include tasks the areas of:
- Driving and upholding Animal Health and Safe Operating Procedures.
- All aspects of milking.
- Animal husbandry.
- Pasture management.
- Machinery operation.
- Repairs and maintenance.
The desired skills and experience for this opportunity are:
- Past dairy industry experience is desirable for this position, but we may consider inexperienced applicants with the right attitude.
