Location: Irvine CA 92618
Overview Seeking an experienced Operations Inspector to perform detailed quality inspections within a production/manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for identifying product defects and failure modes, documenting inspection results, supporting root-cause analysis, and ensuring finished products meet established quality standards. Production experience is required. Candidates must have at least 3 years of quality inspection experience and be comfortable reading drawings, blueprints, assembly instructions, and cosmetic specifications.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of quality inspection experience in a production/manufacturing environment
- Hands-on production experience
- Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) knowledge
- Ability to identify defects and product failure modes
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, assembly instructions, and engineering orders
- Knowledge of cosmetic inspection specifications
- Experience with standard troubleshooting practices and test equipment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong inspection, documentation, and data-entry skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Stable work history with demonstrated longevity
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Perform visual and cosmetic inspections of production and RMA products.
- Inspect finished products for cosmetic, packaging, assembly, contamination, and other visible defects.
- Ensure products meet established quality standards before leaving the facility.
- Document inspection results through reports, logs, and quality databases.
- Track and summarize rework, waste, and inspection findings.
- Analyze product concerns and coordinate with Production, Engineering, RMA, Receiving Inspection, and other departments.
- Verify inspection results and maintain accurate records for traceability.
- Assist with rework activities and verify that reworked products meet specifications.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and manufacturing processes.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
- Assist with hand packing, kit assembly, and other packaging activities as required.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, records, and equipment in accordance with 6S standards.
- Assist with training and cross-training activities as requested.
- Experience inspecting the production of monitors, TVs, electronic displays, or similar products
- IFE production experience
- SAP or similar ERP system experience
- Experience with cosmetic inspection in an electronics manufacturing environment
- High School Diploma or GED required
