Operations Coordinator III

Location: Redmond, WA — Fully Onsite, 5 Days/Week
Contract: 6 Months, with potential extension
Schedule: Morning presence required
Pay Rate: $54/hr on W2
Start Date: ASAP
 

About the Role

Join a collaborativeReality Labs Research organization supporting cutting-edge virtual and augmented reality technology. We are seeking an experiencedOperations Coordinator III to serve as the operational backbone for a Redmond-based audio research group.

This is a highly hands-on individual contributor role with meaningful ownership acrossonboarding/offboarding, lab and equipment logistics, space coordination, documentation, events, and process improvement. The ideal candidate is highly organized, approachable, proactive, and comfortable working across all levels of an organization—from new team members to senior leadership.

This role is best suited for someone who can operate effectively in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment and is willing to personally execute both strategic coordination and day-to-day logistical tasks.

What You’ll Do

  • Ownonboarding and offboarding activities, including building/team orientation, access coordination, equipment logistics, and exit processes.
  • Execute, organize, and streamlinecore operational processes across the research organization.
  • Coordinatelab and equipment logistics, including gear distribution and physical setup.
  • Supportfacility space allocation and planning to meet evolving team needs.
  • Coordinate and facilitateteam events and activities, including hands-on physical setup when needed.
  • Maintaininformation-sharing platforms, documentation, trackers, and shared repositories.
  • Monitor day-to-day operations, identify potential issues early, and resolve or escalate them appropriately.
  • Develop lightweighttools, trackers, workflows, and documentation to address operational needs.
  • Provide light technical and operational support to help the team work efficiently.
  • Partner closely withresearchers, engineers, legal, sourcing, workplace/facilities, and senior stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple priorities, including recurring responsibilities and unpredictable short-notice requests.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes where established procedures may be incomplete or ambiguous.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in operations, program coordination, project coordination, or a related field.
  • Stronginterpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact comfortably with employees and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strongwritten communication skills, including professional documentation, correspondence, and process materials.
  • Demonstrated experience withhands-on operational execution, including logistics, onboarding/offboarding, equipment coordination, events, or facility support.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability tomanage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach and comfort operating inambiguous or evolving environments.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to performphysical, logistical, and repetitive operational tasks when required.
  • Ability to workfully onsite in Redmond, WA, 5 days per week, with morning availability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting aresearch, hardware, engineering, AR/VR, audio, or product-development environment.
  • Experience building lightweightoperational tools, trackers, workflows, or documentation repositories.
  • Experience with onboarding/offboarding programs, lab operations, workplace operations, or equipment logistics.
  • Familiarity with tools such asMicrosoft Office, Google Workspace, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar collaboration/project-management platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree inBusiness, Administration, Operations, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
