Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced OpenShift Migration Engineer to support a 240-hour migration project focused on transitioning workloads into a Red Hat OpenShift environment.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes/containerized environments, workload migrations, and post-migration validation. This individual will work alongside the customer's technical teams to provide hands-on migration assistance, technical guidance, troubleshooting, and optimization throughout the engagement.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with the migration of applications and workloads into a Red Hat OpenShift environment.

Provide hands-on technical guidance and consulting support throughout migration activities.

Work alongside customer personnel to execute migration tasks according to the approved migration plan.

Support application and workload deployment within OpenShift.

Perform post-migration workload validation, testing, and verification.

Troubleshoot migration, configuration, deployment, networking, and application issues.

Review migration outcomes and recommend solutions for issue resolution and environment optimization.

Assist with identifying and resolving performance or configuration issues following migration.

Participate in migration status meetings and technical review sessions.

Document technical findings, migration issues, resolutions, and recommendations as required.

Collaborate with customer infrastructure, application, DevOps, and engineering teams throughout the engagement.
Desired Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift.

Experience migrating applications or workloads into OpenShift environments.

Strong understanding of Kubernetes, containers, and container orchestration.

Experience with Docker or other container technologies.

Knowledge of OpenShift deployment, configuration, networking, storage, and security concepts.

Experience troubleshooting containerized applications and infrastructure.

Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Experience performing workload validation and post-migration testing.

Ability to independently troubleshoot technical issues and recommend solutions.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with customer technical teams.

Previous experience supporting enterprise infrastructure or application migration projects preferred.
Project Details
This engagement is estimated at 240 total hours. Hours may be adjusted across migration activities based on project requirements while remaining within the total authorized project allocation.
The engineer will work closely with customer personnel and project stakeholders to ensure migration activities are completed according to the approved Statement of Work (SOW), migration plan, technical requirements, and project schedule.
