Job Summary:Pratt & Whitney is looking for a Materials Working Lead to support our Airfoil & Isothermal Manufacturing (AIM) Mod Center in Columbus, GA. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll help coordinate daily production activities, support and coach team members, resolve production and material issues, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

This is a Weekend Night Shift position: Friday – Sunday, 6:30 pm – 6:30 am

What You Will Do:

• Coordinate daily work assignments and production priorities, ensuring team members have the skills, training, tools, materials, and resources needed to meet business goals.
• Provide hands-on production floor support by monitoring WIP, planning upcoming jobs, supporting cell setup, operating equipment, and resolving material, tooling, fixture, and equipment issues.
• Lead, coach, and engage team members by reinforcing standard work, safety, quality, and productivity expectations and providing performance feedback.
• Monitor and communicate production performance, track daily output and metrics, and partner with Cell Leaders and cross-functional teams to address issues and keep production on track.
• Support quality and problem-solving activities, including resolving non-conformances, QNs, SAP holds, FAI and hold tags, gage calibration issues, and equipment-related quality concerns.
• Drive continuous improvement and workplace excellence through RCCA, 6S, EH&S inspections, process improvements, and RIDII activities within the assigned work area.
• Manage materials, consumables, tooling, and production resources, including expediting material movement, coordinating supplies, and managing tool repairs and fixtures.
• Completion of training on Weekend Day shift (4-8 weeks)

Qualifications You Must Have: 

• High School Diploma or GED

• 6+ years of experience in manufacturing, production control or logistics
• Experience operating Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV)

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience working in an SAP manufacturing or Make-to-Order environment.
• Previous experience leading, training, or mentoring team members.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to influence others and drive toward common goals.
• Experience with continuous improvement, 6S, RCCA, or other manufacturing improvement processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
