Executive Director, Regional Medical Lead - Solid Tumors, Medical Affairs, EuropeUis an internal key expert within the indication areas, directly supporting the respective products through development, pre-marketing, launch, marketing and lifecycle management. This includes all areas of medical affairs activities such as data-generation, data-dissemination and HCP interactions. Mid- to long-term the Regional Medical Lead will be responsible for building and leading a team of Regional Medical Directors with a specific focus on either brand or indication.
The role is requires close interaction with local (country) medical directors with respect to allocated disease areas (Solid Tumors) to assure strategic dialogue considering local specifics and input as well as global and regional guidance.
The Regional Medical Lead has accountability for the regional input into the global product and indication strategies and works closely with local country medical directors to assure alignment across global, regional and local strategies, messaging as well as tactical implementation.
The role includes, but is not limitedto:
Direct line management
Matrix leadership in the diseasearea
Proactive contribution to global & regionalbrand and disease areastrategies
Including gapanalyses
Identification of areas of interest with respect toISR
Publicationplanning
Regional data-dissemination (e.g. company sponsored symposia, congress submissions, medical education activities)
Regional HCP interactions / outreach (e.g. investigator meetings, advisoryboards)
Provide input on regional perspectives on the design of for company-sponsoredtrials
Close collaboration with regional commercial teams regarding pre-launch, launch and commercialization, assuring timely medical input and accuracy of medical / scientific content
As a leader in the organization, the incumbent will be accountable to develop regional strategies to support enduring and compliant relationships with Opinion Leaders, Research Collaborators, and Key Organizations in support of BeiGene’s pipeline development across the allocated disease area.
The incumbent will play a key role in the establishment of BeOne as a valued collaborator and best-in-class biopharmaceutical company.
Essential Functions of thejob:
Establish and maintain scientifically credible peer-to-peer scientific relationships with key national & regional opinion leaders in addition to other healthcare providers
Viewed as a Scientific Partner by KOLs
Facilitate & monitor strategic partnerships with scientific/clinical experts and serve as an regional-level point of contact with organizations including but not limited to -
Guidelinedevelopment
Cooperativegroups
Other (Regional / National Cancer institutions)
Facilitate & monitor strategic partnerships with other functional areas withinBeOne
Leadership in the development and execution of clinically relevant regional medical meetings (e.g., advisory boards, consultant, and investigator meetings), as requested
Develop, track, execute and report on goals andobjectives.
Support disease area Medical Affairs budget planning andmanagement.
Be accountable for compliant businesspractices.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience and success within other biotech/pharmaceuticalcompanies.
Clinical oncology (hematology or solid tumor) experience; candidates with exceptional experience in other therapeutic areas would be considered if they demonstrated clear potential to apply their existing skills to oncology.
High level of communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational, and cross functional collaboration skills.
Flexibility to work with colleagues in a globalsetting.
Able to engage in work-related travel approximately50%.

Ability to identify the unmet medical, educational, and research needs at a local & regional level in the medicalcommunity.
Ability to interpret key scientific data and translate the findings to meet educational and research needs to affect corporate research strategic activities/decisions.
Understanding of the design and execution of research studies and strategicimplications.
Exhibits high degree of emotional intelligence and appreciation of diversity andmulticulturalism.
Designs and/or leads training initiatives and bestpractices.

As the portfolio in the disease area expands the role will include the built and leadership of a team of either brand or indication focused regional medical directors

Travel:
A significant amount of travel is expected due to the spread location of the MSLteam(s)

Salary Range Switzerland: 263,700.00 CHF - 329,600.00 CHF
