Role DescriptionÂ
We are looking for an experiencedRelease Manager with a strong DevOps background to lead end-to-end release planning, coordination, governance, and production deployment activities for enterprise applications and platforms.Â
In this role, you will ensure that releases are delivered in a controlled, secure, and efficient manner through established CI/CD practices, change management processes, deployment governance, and operational readiness standards. You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineering Teams, DevOps, Infrastructure, Architecture, Security, Production Support, and Business Stakeholders to drive successful production releases and continuous delivery excellence.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Own release planning, release calendars, deployment schedules, dependency management, and production release coordinationÂ
Manage end-to-end release execution across development, testing, staging, and production environmentsÂ
Coordinate release checkpoints, including code freezes, build validation, UAT sign-off, change approvals, go/no-go decisions, and deployment confirmationsÂ
Drive release automation through CI/CD pipelines, deployment orchestration, configuration management, and DevOps best practicesÂ
Prepare release documentation, including release notes, implementation plans, deployment checklists, rollback procedures, smoke test plans, and operational handover documentationÂ
Ensure deployment and operational readiness through environment validation, runbooks, monitoring dashboards, support procedures, and service management processes.Â
Coordinate deployment war rooms, stakeholder communications, risk reviews, issue escalations, and critical release activitiesÂ
Work with Engineering and DevOps teams to improve automation, deployment reliability, and release efficiencyÂ
Ensure operational readiness through runbooks, monitoring dashboards, support procedures, and service management processesÂ
Track release metrics, deployment performance, production incidents, release success rates, and continuous improvement actionsÂ
Support post-release reviews, lessons learned sessions, and implementation of improvement initiativesÂ
Your ProfileÂ
Must Have RequirementsÂ
8+ years of experience in Release Management, DevOps Engineering, Application Deployment, Platform Delivery, Production Operations, or related fieldsÂ
Experience managing enterprise application releases in regulated, complex, or large-scale environmentsÂ
Strong understanding of release management frameworks, deployment governance, and change management processesÂ
Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD pipelines,build automation, deployment strategies, branch management, version control, and release taggingÂ
Experience coordinating cross-functional teams including Project Managers, Developers, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Infrastructure Teams, Security Teams, Architects, and Production SupportÂ
Experience with ITSM processes including Change, Incident, Problem, Configuration, and Release ManagementÂ
Strong risk management, issue resolution, dependency tracking, and stakeholder management skillsÂ
Experience preparing deployment runbooks, rollback plans, release documentation, SOPs, and audit evidenceÂ
Understanding of cloud platforms, APIs, containerized environments, infrastructure dependencies, monitoring, and security controlsÂ
Excellent communication, organizational, and coordination skillsÂ
Ability to manage multiple concurrent releases and competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentÂ
Nice to HaveÂ
Experience working within banking, financial services, fintech, or other highly regulated industriesÂ
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD platformsÂ
Experience with Jira, Azure Boards, ServiceNow, or other release and change management toolsÂ
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or cloud-native deployment platformsÂ
Exposure to Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Bash, PowerShell, or Python scripting for deployment automationÂ
Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or ELKÂ
ITIL Foundation CertificationÂ
DevOps Foundation CertificationÂ
Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer CertificationÂ
Kubernetes or Cloud Platform CertificationsÂ
