WHO YOU’LL WORK WITHÂ

You will be a part of the Global Technology organization working on Nike’s internal Consumer Product & Innovation software tools for enabling creation of Nike’s Footwear and Apparel and report to the team’s Software Engineering Manager based in Bengaluru.  You will collaborate with a team of engineers in partnership with the team’s Product Manager working on software projects to achieve Nike’s business objectives. You will also collaborate with biz stakeholders under the guidance of your manager.Â

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to solve complex software engineering problems supporting Nike’s pursuit of delivering state of the art tools to our product developers and broader creation community. The candidate needs to be highly collaborative with peers, productive in a fast-paced development environment and have depth of native cloud software engineering experience.Â

What you bringÂ
-  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degreeÂ
5+ years of hands-on industry software development experience building and supporting modern architectures such as REST, domain-driven design, and microservicesÂ
Demonstrated expertise in Node.js, Python, or similar programming languages, with experience building cloud-native distributed systemsÂ
Experience with cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and S3Â
Experience developing and supporting highly available microservices, Lambdas, and applications using modern testing methodologies and frameworks such as Mocha, Jasmine, and JestÂ
Strong understanding of architectural design patterns and computer science fundamentalsÂ
Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, JavaScript, Flexbox, semantic markup, accessibility, and design methodologies such as OOCSS, BEM, and Atomic designÂ
Hands-on experience with browser APIs, event lifecycles, performance optimization, and cross-browser complianceÂ
2+ years of hands-on experience with technologies such as React, Redux, Vue.js, template technologies, microservices, and REST web services; experience with Angular is a plusÂ
Experience implementing and integrating AI, machine learning based solutions is a plusÂ
Strong verbal and written communication skillsÂ
Proven ability to build relationships across teams and functionsÂ
Experience in design, digital asset management, or color science is a plusÂ

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ONÂ
You will be part of a team of engineers building out software tools for our internal Design and Footwear, Apparel and Accessories development teams. Your responsibilities are:Â
Design, develop, and operate scalable software solutions that support Nike’s design and creation community across web, front-end, and cloud-native platformsÂ
Build and enhance responsive, accessible, and performant web experiences using modern front-end technologies, design systems, and browser capabilitiesÂ
Build and integrate cloud-native platforms, applications, APIs, and services using an API-first engineering approachÂ
Translate complex business and product needs into well-designed technical solutions and implementation plans across front-end and back-end systemsÂ
Drive technical design discussions, influence architecture decisions, and help establish engineering best practices across the teamÂ
Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and business partners to deliver intuitive, reliable, and high-quality software solutionsÂ
Support the full software development lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and operational excellenceÂ
Improve usability, performance, scalability, resilience, and maintainability across user-facing applications and backend servicesÂ
Mentor peers, contribute to a strong engineering culture, and help raise the technical bar through code reviews and knowledge sharingÂ
