We are seeking an agile technical leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment—someone dedicated to leveraging healthcare technology to create tangible, positive outcomes for Mississippians.

What You’ll Do:

• Analyze business requirements while creating technical specifications, and developing mainframe applications, interfaces, and databases.
• Maintain EDI systems, including production on call support and technical issue resolution.
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert for EDI systems.
• Provide expert consultative assistance to Applications management and staff.
• Design, develop, and maintain EDI server processes.

Job-Specific Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other related field.
• Seven years of programming experience in COBOL, MVS utilities, MVS JCL, and CICS Command Level programming.
• Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Five years of system analysis and design experience.
• Competent in developing COBOL programs that interact with DB2 databases.
• Top-tier communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with coworkers, managers and customers; conveying information clearly, listening carefully and providing guidance.
• Exceptional critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently, handling multiple tasks while effectively organizing tasks and time.

Preferred:

• Working familiarity with Easytrieve.
• Linux scripts and/or C programming experience.
