Job Summary:
Learns and performs entry-level concrete finishing tasks under close supervision. Supports crew operations by assisting with surface preparation, tool handling, and cleanup while developing skills in screeding, troweling, and curing. Participates in hands-on learning to build knowledge of concrete finishing techniques, safety practices, and jobsite operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assists in setup, pouring, and basic finishing of concrete under direct supervision.
Prepares and maintains work areas, tools, and materials for concrete finishing operations.
Supports crew in applying basic finishing techniques such as edging, floating, and curing.
Follows safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment at all times.
Participates in on-the-job training to develop trade knowledge and proficiency.
Cleans up and maintains finishing tools and equipment after each use.
Works cooperatively with team members to complete assigned work efficiently.
Education Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
Work Experience:
0–2 years of experience in concrete finishing or a related trade required.
Certifications and Licenses:
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-Hour Construction certification preferred. OSHA 10 program completion within 6 months of hire is required.
