The Role

Welo Global is seeking experiencedMalay Linguists and Copy Editors to support an exciting, long-term project with a leading multinational company. This is an ongoingfreelance andremote position. Agencies are welcome to apply to this great opportunity!

Project Details

Location: Remote
Expected Volume: 5000+ words per week
Employment Type: Freelance/Independent Contract
Task Type: Translation, Copy-Editing and MTPE
Content Types: Marketing, UI, Product, Support, Informational and Legal
CAT Tool: Client-specific CAT tool (training provided during onboarding)

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency inMalaywith excellent command ofEnglish
• 2+ years of professional translation experience with adegree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related fieldor
• 5+ years of professional translation experience without a formal translation degree
• Demonstrated experience translatingEnglish to Malay across a variety of content types, including informational, marketing, UI, product, and support content
• Experience usingCAT tools
• Excellent attention to detail and a proven ability to deliver high-quality translations while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced localization environment
• Strong communication skills, responsiveness, reliability, and openness to feedback and revisions
