Te Tūranga – About the role

We're looking for a practical, people-focusedStore Trainer - Regulatory to help our stores confidently, consistently, and safely implement regulatory requirements in real store environments.

You'll be at the frontline of regulatory change, working directly with stores before, during, and after deployment to build capability, reinforce approved processes, and support long-term compliance outcomes.

This is a highly visible, field-based role where you'll partner closely with store teams, deployment teams, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure new requirements are understood, adopted, and executed effectively in busy trading environments. You'll help bridge the gap between regulatory requirements and practical store execution.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering and embedding approved regulatory training and support in stores.
• Building store capability through hands-on coaching, practical training, and in-store support.
• Supporting the deployment of regulatory change, compliance-related system updates, and new ways of working.
• Preparing stores for change through readiness activities, pre-go-live coaching, and validation of understanding.
• Providing on-site and virtual support during implementation periods to reinforce compliant behaviours.
• Identifying risks, gaps, and barriers to execution and escalating where required.
• Supporting store openings and refits where regulatory requirements apply.
• Building trusted relationships across stores and support centre teams while advocating for practical compliance solutions.

He kōrero mōu – About you

You’re an experienced retail operator who understands how stores really work! You’ve spent time on the shop floor or supporting store operations and know how to build trust, coach teams, and help new ways of working stick.

Confident navigating compliance, regulatory, audit, or risk requirements and experienced at turning complex information into practical, easy-to-follow guidance - you balance attention to detail with a pragmatic approach that helps stores stay compliant while keeping operations running smoothly.

Most importantly, you’re a strong communicator who thrives in change environments. Whether supporting a system rollout, preparing teams for an audit, or coaching store leaders through new requirements, you bring credibility, resilience, and a hands-on approach that builds capability and confidence.
