Job Description:
PositionSummary:
The Mechanical Assembler Iis responsible for assembling parts to form subassemblies or complete units using hand tools, small power tools, and other special equipment. In addition, assemblers mayreassemble, or rework units asrequired.
Primary Responsibilities:
Produces quality products by assembling equipment sub-assemblies, on one or more assembly linesin accordance with engineering specifications and procedures, adjusting, and measuring toexact tolerances.
Verify conformance of parts to stock list and blueprints.
Lay out hole locations,drill andtap holes on parts for assembly.
Verify alignment and tolerances of moving parts.
Assemble, set-up andoperate machine to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to specifications with wrenches, tools,calipers and gauges toaccomplishtask at each level.
Performqualityof work inspections on all parts and componentsassembled, including comparing the finished parts to blueprint requirements.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment bycomplying with safety processes.
May perform basic wiring on some sub-assemblies.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent and1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
1+ years of experiencewith mechanical, electrical, and related components assemblies preferred.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructionsfurnished in written, oral, diagram form, collect/analyzedata and prepare findings.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to use basic machine shop equipment, hand tools, forklift,crane and material handling equipment.
Ability to use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers,height and depth gauges).
Must be able to work overtime asrequired to meetproduction's needs as well as flexibility to work around scheduled production hours.
Must havea high level of safety awareness andmaintain a record of good safety habits.
