Job Summary:
Learns and supports basic construction and general labor tasks under close supervision. Assists with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup while developing skills in tool use, safety, and worksite organization. Builds foundational understanding of DPR’s safety protocols, quality standards, and field operations to support advancement within the trade.
Key Responsibilities:
Assists in preparing, cleaning, and maintaining work areas for construction activities.
Supports team members by performing basic material handling, lifting, and transport tasks.
Learns proper use of hand and power tools under direct supervision.
Follows DPR safety policies, PPE requirements, and worksite procedures consistently.
Observes and learns from experienced workers to understand workflow and job expectations.
Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment throughout all assigned tasks.
Participates in on-the-job and classroom training to build technical and safety knowledge.
Education Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
Work Experience:
0–2 years of experience in general labor, construction, or a related field required.
Certifications and Licenses:
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-Hour Construction certification within 3 months of hire required.
