As aCT/MRI Scan Technologist Assistant, you areinvolved in all aspects of the CT/MRI department operations, includingdepartment stocking, oral contrastpreparation,exam data entry and more.In this role, you will promote a patient-driven philosophy,exhibiting positive behavior that supports and enhances their care experience. This position is an excellent entry into the healthcare field at ClevelandClinic.Â

A caregiver in this position worksMonday – Friday, 12:30pm – 9:00pm.Â
Â
A caregiver who excels in this role will:Â Â
Assure rooms areset up properly before beginning of procedure.Â
Clean roomspromptly post-procedure.Â
Assure patient modesty and comfort,assist patients with changing, answer call lights asappropriate and report any change in patient's condition or behavior.Â
Assurepatient is discharged toappropriatedestination.Â
Check proper identification ofpatient per policy and create patient identification bands.Â
Schedule scans and watchqueue.Â
Verify physician exam order, look atneeds ofpatient and initiate communication and inpatient flow.Â
Document patient history, conditions and any other pertinent information on requisition/history sheet and ensure all data is entered into the computer on day of exam, including nonprocedural changes,additional exams, and order revision.Â
Acquire, archive,transmit and print images via PACS, when applicable knowledge in after-hours transmission of images andappropriate paperworkimmediately reporting any malfunctions to Help Desk and PACS Administrator.Â
Follow Radiation/MRI Safety Guidelines. Â
Operate all equipment properly and with care.Â
Maintain ethical and professional relationships with all customers,demonstrating cooperativeefforts withcoworkers and the ability to accept constructive criticism.Â
Assess the patient's readiness and need for learning, considering all aspects of diversity and inclusion.Â
Determine the bestmethodology to deliver education and receive verbal feedback or returndemonstration tovalidate learning.Â
Provide verbal and/or written instructions for tests/procedures, diagnoses, and discharge whenappropriate.Â
Â
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Â Â
HighschoolDiploma orGEDÂ Â
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red CrossÂ
One yearof experience in a healthcare related field OR current radiology studentÂ
Broad knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy Â
Â
Physical Requirements:
- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
