Project Safety Specialist

SUMMARY

As a member of the senior staff you (in conjunction with a small support staff)will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance ofthe Safety programs atthe business segmentlevel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assessmentand improvementofcurrentloss prevention programs
• Providedirection and guidance regarding implementation and maintenance ofallhealthand safetyrelated programs
• Assist Managementwith the development, implantationand/or enforcementof a management accountability program
• Evaluaterisksand developsguidelines for roles, training, measurementsand rewards for the managementsystem foremployee safety
• Ensure compliancewith allOSHA, federal,state and localguidelines regardinghealth and safety programs
• Responsible for the managementofcontract security personnel at bothlocations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
• 5-plusyears safety managementexperience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Manufacturing experience
• ASP or Certified Safety Professional
• Exhibit strong leadership, developmentand project management skills
