Job Description Summary
#LI-[Remote]Are you an inspiring sales leader who knows how to turn strategy into strong field execution? As Area Sales Manager, you will lead, coach and develop a high-performing sales team to deliver meaningful impact for customers and patients while achieving ambitious commercial objectives.
You will translate brand and therapeutic area strategies into clear regional plans, use market insights to identify growth opportunities, and build a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous development. Working closely with Marketing, Medical, Value & Access and other cross-functional partners, you will help ensure excellent, ethical and customer-focused execution across your area.

- Strengthentheteam’ssellingcapabilities,productknowledge,therapeuticareaexpertiseandcustomerengagementskills.
- BuildandmaintainstrongrelationshipswithkeycustomersandexternalstakeholderswhilecollaboratingeffectivelywithMarketing,Medical,Value&Accessandothercross-functionalteams.
- Monitormarketdynamics,customerneeds,scientificdevelopments,competitoractivityandpricingtrends,translatinginsightsintoactionablerecommendations.
- Identifyandimplementbusiness-buildingopportunitiesthatsupportsustainablesalesandmarketsharegrowth.
- Manage the area budget,expensesandresourcesresponsibly,ensuringaccurateforecasting,reportingandoperationaldiscipline.
- EnsureallactivitiesareperformedinaccordancewithNovartispolicies,ethicalstandards,proceduresandapplicableregulatoryrequirements,includingthetimelyreportingoftechnicalcomplaints,adverseeventsandspecialcasescenarios.
EssentialRequirements
- Universitydegreeinlifesciences,healthcare,businessoranotherrelevantfield.
- Significantexperienceinpharmaceutical,healthcareorspecialtysales.
- Provenexperienceleading,coachinganddevelopingafield-basedsalesteam.
- Demonstratedtrackrecordofachievingsalestargetsanddeliveringsustainablecommercialgrowth.
- Strongcommercialandanalyticalcapabilities,withtheabilitytointerpretperformancedata,marketinsightsandkeyperformanceindicators.
- Excellentleadership,communication,influencingandstakeholder-managementskills.
- Abilitytotranslatestrategyintoclearprioritiesanddisciplinedfieldexecution.
- Strongcross-functionalcollaborationskillsandexperienceworkingwithMarketing,Medical,Value&Accessorsimilarpartnerfunctions.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: 71,330.00 - 101,900.00 - 132,470.00 GBP Annual
The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.
