Nanny / Household Helper – Portola Valley, CA

A busy family in Portola Valley, CA 94028 is seeking a reliable, proactive, and adaptable Nanny/Household Helper to support their three girls (ages 9, 11, and 13) and keep the household running smoothly. Both parents work full-time, with one parent working from home, making an independent and flexible candidate essential for this role.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM – 6:30 PM (Core Hours)
• Additional hours allocated before 2:00 PM or after 6:30 PM (family prefers after 6:30 PM)
• 30 guaranteed hours per week
• Schedule flexibility required to accommodate school holidays, seasonal shifts, and after-school activity changes

Family Specifications:

• Smoke-free home
• Vehicle provided for all child transportation duties

Responsibilities:

• Driving children safely to and from school and after-school activities
• Meal preparation for the children and family
• Family laundry
• General light tidying, organization, and keeping household management tasks up to date
• Providing proactive afternoon support and guidance for three school-aged children

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and comfort navigating the local area
• Comfort working in a home with pets (two French bulldogs)
• Proven experience managing school-aged children and household logistics
• Ability to work independently while a parent works remotely in the home

Compensation:

• $30–$40 per hour (commensurate with experience)
